Westminster Council Special Education Parent Teacher Association (WCSEPTA)
WCSEPTA stands for Westminster Council Special Education Parent Teacher Association. National PTA first introduced the concept of SEPTA in 1996 to specifically address the needs of parents of school children with special needs. The goal of each SEPTA group is to bring together families, caregivers, educators, and local community members to improve the education and well-being of students with different abilities. SEPTA groups focus primarily on special education issues and advocacy for school age children with disabilities. By joining and becoming involved in SEPTA, parents learn how to work with special educators and other education specialists in the local school district. They can learn how to better understand and navigate successfully through the special education system. They’ll receive access to valuable parenting resources and can connect with other parents who share similar personal experiences. Annual membership is just $5.00 and anyone may join. For more information, click on wcsepta.ourschoolpages.com or email Laury Creyaufmiller, WCSEPTA President, at wcsepta@yahoo.com.

Now on Facebook! Click on WCSEPTA under "PTA" icon on menu bar to link to WCSEPTA website.
