  • Back to School Night (6:30 pm) – Please meet at our Multi-Purpose Room for our 1st PTA Member Meeting & Budget Approval. This is where you will also sign up for Parent Teacher Conferences scheduled during the week of October 20th-24th as well as volunteer positions. We have many programs that are in need of a coordinator / lead person. Many programs will not be possible without volunteers. Some volunteer positions may be done at home and some require as little as ½ hour of your time every other week. Please take a look at the list below and consider volunteering. Board Position Openings:

  • 1st VP – Programs (2 Volunteer Partners) – Oversee social events and provide support to chairperson and volunteer throughout school year for events such as Mother Son Fun Night, Father Daughter Dance, Family Nights, etc…
  • 2nd VP – Ways & Means (2 Volunteer Partners) – Plan and oversee goals and agenda per fundraiser. Support chairperson with fundraising events (Jog-a-thon & Direct Donation).
  • 3rd VP – Membership (1 Volunteer Partner Opened) – Promote Fall Membership Drive. Collect and process PTA membership. You will be working with Jenn Hopkins who has already volunteered.

Chairperson / Coordinator Opening for the following Programs:

  • After School Program Coordinator – Assist with coordinating afterschool programs (Lego, Chess, Choir, etc…) at Eastwood.
  • Box Tops & Labels for Education - Box Tops and Labels for Education help fund programs. Collect from classrooms, sort and send in labels.
  • Dolphin Dad Campout – Need a Dolphin Dad to be coordinator of campout in June.
  • eScrip & Free Money – Promote eScrip to Eastwood Families. We can earn up to 16% of on-line purchases.
  • 4th Grade Coordinators– Fundraise for 4th Grade Lazy W Camp.
  • 6th Grade Coordinators – Fundraise for 6th Grade Camp and 6th Grade Celebration.
  • Family Holiday Night (December 10th)
  • Marquis – Update information in glass case in front of school monthly.
  • Recycle Friday – Receive and sort aluminum cans 2nd& 4th Friday morning (7:45 am to 8:15 am) each month.
  • Rolling Readers - Volunteers for this program work with 2nd and 3rd graders on their reading skills. Listening to readers and encouraging the students builds their confidence and raises their reading level.
  • Room Parent Coordinator - Responsible for contacting and organizing room parents and room coordinators for each classroom.
  • Family Science Event / Assembly (Spring)
  • Supplies / Copier Maintenance (On-going)

Mad Science is coming soon to Eastwood School! 

An 8 week after school imaginative learning program for kids in kindergarten through 6th grade.

Every week kids will learn about a different science-related topic – from bugs to weather to toys and even movies! 

Yes, kids will learn that science is found in virtually every aspect of modern life.


Registration closes January 29th and is just $99.00 per child.

Classes start Tuesday February 4th after school from 2:30-3:30pm. Space is limited so be sure to sign up today!

Complete and return form (one per child) with payment (checks made out to Eastwood School PTA) to the classroom or front office.

Recycle Friday for school year 2014-15 is every 2nd & 4th Friday of each month.

Help Eastwood PTA turn CRV plastic bottles and aluminum cans into money to help fund our programs and events. Please drop off recyclables at bin by school parking lot. Bag plastic bottles and cans separately. Thank you!
